Hippocampal neuron (12-14 DIV) transfected with GFP-CaMKIIα was stimulated with glutamate/glycine for 1 min and washed for 27 min in low Ca2+/high Mg2+ external solution, as indicated. Frames were collected every 10 s (time shown in lower right corner) during the first 4 min and then every 30 s and are displayed at 6 frames per sec.
